I haven't had a haircut in 104 days

Unless you count snipping off split ends- which in my mind doesn't count. Once it's pony tail length, I think it'll be easier. Right now, it's not... I had given up on the hairdryer and straightener, until a few days ago. It's too unruly to go au natural. Hope I can hold out a bit more. But, dude, it's hard.

shaggy love

Growing my hair out has been painful. There are days that are difficult to even leave the house- like this morning. I've basically given up the hairdryer and straigtener, so thing have become, well, a little....funky. But I'm staying strong. A little longer. A little longer. A little longer. This photo from STREETFSN made me feel a little bit better about embracing the shagginess. I mean, she's cute. Really cute.

Thar she sulks

So, it's been about seven weeks since my last haircut- and it's showing. I'm sporting a bulky mushroom head. But fortunately it's past the tips of my ears! Headbands have helped a bit- but they hurt because my head is large. I've been wearing hats a lot more too, and I love this Brixton Pack Bowler. I should have ordered it in black too... I know this doesn't really show hair growth, and I know that I planned on taking a photo every week- but no one wants to look at this mess. So there.

thar she grows...week one

Something's happened being a brunette. I want hair. Like to pile on top of my head. And um, I can't do that- at all... So while driving to work on Monday morning, (wish I could remember what I happened to be listening to) I made the decision to grow it out. Get through the awkward three months looking like I did in seventh grade. Because between this length and a rockin' bowl cut or a mini-bob are MONTHS of waiting... And I'm impatient. So I'm going to document the growth every week. Hopefully, little by little, I'll see changes. I had an appointment for a cut next week, but I canceled it. I know you're "supposed" to trim it every six weeks. But I sort of want to punish myself a little bit and wait. I'm not sure how long. October? November? In the meantime, I'm waiting for Mr. UPS to show up with another hat...

(5 weeks since last haircut, and just barely skimming top of ears)
