Abbey Lee Maniamania Immortal Ring

Gorgeous image above from Inside In, Inside Out

Two images above from Bona Drag

I had been eyeing the Maniamania immortal ring for a long, long, time now. But the limited edition Abbey Lee Kershaw collaboration ring with the amethyst faceted crystal stone was just too much to resist. I think it will be here Wednesday (which cannot come soon enough). The next ring haunting my dreams in the Maniamania Patti ring inspired by Patti Smith's tattoo designed by Valli Myers.

Addiction

It's safe to say that my Pamela Love addiction has reached pretty epic proportions. It's no wonder my savings account is in a sad state. If you need a dealer, I recommend Bona Drag.

Rodarte in print

If you're a fan of Rodarte, I highly recommend this book. I got it for my birthday from the boyfriend. I'll never be able to own one of their gowns, so this is the closest I will get. Anna Sheffield Chasse pinky ring, Anna Sheffield + Lindsey Thornburg teardrop ring, Iosselliani snake ring all available from Bona Drag.

Sisters of Mercy? Really?

Yesterday I wore my Obesity and Speed Poncho and Pamela Love rosary dagger to Safeway. My boyfriend said I looked like a member of Sisters of Mercy and he looked like a member of Archers of Loaf. Also pictured is the Iosselliani snake ring and Anna Sheffield teardrop ring. (All items from Bona Drag.)

Pamela Love AW 2011

When the hell does the Pamela Love AW 2011 stuff come out? Because I'm pretty sure I'll die if I don't get these porcupine quill looking earrings.

the only earring i'll ever need

Yesterday I swore up and down that I was on a shopping ban. What a lie that was!

Prism of London

I finally got lenses put in my Prism of London Rio glasses, and they don't make me feel dizzy! I hate adjusting to new prescriptions, so it's nice to put on a pair of new glasses and not feel like the floor is jumping. Just wore a pretty basic jeans and tee shirt outfit:
muscle tee- sophomore from bona drag
high waisted jeans- judi rosen
bag- proenza schouler ps11
shoes- swedish hasbeens peep toe super high
bracelets- maniamania from bona drag

My boyfriend and I went out to Thai food, shopped a little, and stopped by Mission Minis for a whole lotta cupcakes. But these high waisted jeans do not leave much room for things like cupcakes (or breathing for that matter).

The Favor

I got an email from my friend Angel, asking me to do her a "HUGE" favor. (She really typed the word huge in all caps.) Anyway, when we think of huge favors- what comes to mind? Driving a U-Haul? Moving boxes up and down stairs? Basically stuff that sucks, right? The word favor implies that you're putting someone out. Well, she was styling a photo shoot at her house, and wanted to use some of my jewelry. Favor? Are you kidding? What's better than getting to participate in watching a model get all dolled up and piling jewelry on her? Count me in!!
Angel has collected a lot of vintage nighties over the years and we ending up pairing them with some less than delicate jewelry- Pamela Love, Bliss Lau, Hermes, and Eddie Borgo. Anyway, it was a blast- and here are a few images that I took (which are nowhere near as good as those of the photographer).

In chains, I'm in chains

Givenchy's Fall 2008 Collection

Messy Chain Necklace from Urban Outfitters

Those Givenchy photos are soo good! I had to settle for the messy chain necklace at Urban Outfitters- the perfect accessory to drape over threadbare tee shirts.

blissful leather & chains

So when it comes to jewelry, I've never sought anything of the delicate/lady-like variety. I'm much more drawn to "in yo' face" pieces. Naturally, that led me to Bliss Lau. Talk about stand out designs! I ordered the "riot" bracelet from Bona Drag. Upon arrival yesterday, it was love at first sight! Though it's bold, I think it'll be quite easy to incorporate into my wardrobe. Today I opted to pair it with something simple- denim and cotton. And now I think I need her "Hug me Tight" chain vest...
